Thank you, Kelly Starling Lyons!

Last Friday, NC children's author Kelly Starling Lyons visited the Lower School for a special presentation. She shared with students her family experiences growing up, which influenced her picture book Tea Cakes for Tosh.

Kelly read aloud several of her picture books and engaged students in talking about how to use their senses to come up with writing ideas.

Kelly also shared her inspiration for her picture book One More Dino on the Floor, a true story of dinosaur prints being discovered in what looked like a dance party formation! So, of course, after reading the book, we had our own dino dance party in the multi!

We're so grateful to Kelly for sharing her day and her stories with us!
