But kindness is something we spread and share every. single. day. So many children's books teach kindness through stories of friendship. One of my favorite picture books is A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Philip Stead, illustrated by Erin Stead - the story of a zoo filled with animals who miss their friend on a day when he is not able to come to work and care for them.
